2010 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
PRESIDENT
Robert J. Callaway, MBA, SPHR, is employed by Pinal County in the Human Resources department as Employee Relations Manager. Robert supervises the Recruitment unit and the Employee Relations functions for the county.
He earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from New Mexico State University, in Las Cruces New Mexico. He has nearly 15 years of experience in the Human Resources field and has supported organizations in State Government and County Government. In his spare time he loves hanging out with his family and children. He is also passionate about riding his off road motorcycle and trying to learn to play golf.
VICE PRESIDENT
Dora Chavez is currently employed as a Human Resources Analyst for Pinal County Government and has over 20 years of Human Resources experience specializing in recruitment. She also has experience in health and welfare administration, employee relations and retirement in a private industry. Dora has an A.A.S. Degree from Central Arizona College and will be completing her BSBA degree in Management from Troy University within the next year. She has been a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) since 1997 and as of July 2009 has assumed the responsibilities of CAHRMA Vice-President.
Dora has been happily married for over 19 years and is the proud mother of a twelve year old son. Dora’s spouse is a Sixth Grade Elementary Teacher and was named as one of the four 2009 Arizona Teacher of the Year Ambassadors for Excellence by the Arizona Education Foundation. She and her family enjoy taking short road trips throughout the state of Arizona, going to the movies and spending time with family and friends. Dora is also an active member in her church and serves as a member of the Parish Finance Committee as well as the Parish St. Vincent DePaul Society.
SECRETARY/TREASURER
Brandi Bain-Clark, MBA, holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Ottawa University, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Brandi has over 11 years experience in human resource management in a variety of employment settings including private companies and Pinal county government.
A native of Casa Grande, she is also an aerobics’ instructor at LA Fitness. Brandi and her family reside in Casa Grande, and enjoy spending their leisure time at their cabin in Pinetop, boating, and camping at the Sand dunes.
MEMBERSHIP CHAIR
Jim Sorensen has worked for the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) State Employment Service office for over 20 years. He is currently the local Office Manager of the Casa Grande, Globe and Payson offices, supervising 12 staff in two counties. He is a member of the Gila Pinal Workforce Investment Board overseeing the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs in the area. He is also a member of the Pinal County Care Network and works closely with social service agencies in Pinal county. He has been a member of CAHRMA since 1995 and has served as the chapter Membership Chair since 2004.
Jim is a piano tuner and has tuned and repaired pianos in the area since 1985. He is also a classical pianist and singer/songwriter. He has produced four CDs and has performed several concerts in the local area. He is married with three children and enjoys working on his music in his spare time.
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR/WEBMASTER
Tanya Haney, SPHR, is employed by Cardinal CG in Casa Grande as Human Resources Manager. In this generalist role she is responsible for all human resource management activity within the plant.
Tanya received her bachelor's degree in Management from Western International University in Phoenix, and has been working in the field of human resources since 1993. She has a diverse background in managerial/generalist roles in healthcare, broadcasting, credit card call center, and manufacturing. Tanya has held professional HRCI certification since 1997, first as PHR and then as SPHR since 2000.
A returning member of CAHRMA since 2006, Tanya joined the board of directors in 2009, and is looking forward to working with the members in support of the chapter goals. Please contact her with any items you would like to see included in the chapter newsletter, or with questions about the website.

SHRM FOUNDATION CHAIR
Scott Barber, Administrative Services Director for the City of Casa Grande, has more than 30 years experience in public-sector human resources work. His duties for the City of Casa Grande include managing the human resource function, employee benefits, coordination of employee training and development, the risk management function and development impact fee administration.
Scott has been with the City of Casa Grande since 1984. His previous experience includes time with Navajo County and the City of Holbrook in northeastern Arizona. A past president of CAHRMA, Scott holds B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communications and Government from New Mexico State University, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University. He holds lifetime SPHR certification and also holds professional HR certification from IPMA-HR and a Risk Management Consultant license from the State of Arizona.
LEGISLATIVE CHAIR
Rachael Reed is currently serving the chapter as Legislative Chair. She is employed by Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino Resort, as Employment Manager. Additional information on Rachael will be added to this bio at a later date.
